1. Black ball

This anime has too much resemblance to The attack of the Titans. The suffering of humanity, walls, supernatural powers for the chosen few, a specialized team to fight like Survey Corps, and much more. The best part of black ball is that the anime ended in 2014, so you don’t have to wait for new episodes and new seasons.

The anime shows the world in 2021, where humanity is suffering from a virus known as Gastrea. To sustain themselves, people live inside walls created with a substance known as Varanium. This metal is the only known cure for Gastrea. Soon, females born with the Gastrea virus began to acquire supernatural abilities. In order to fight the infection, an organization known as Civil Securities is formed, which is later joined by Rentarō Satomi, the series’ main protagonist.

2. Code Geass

If you like The attack of the Titans for its political issues, action scenes, lengthy topical storyline, and unexpected twists, Code Geass should be the next anime on your list. The series’ main protagonist, Lelouch, will remind you of Eren Yeager. Some fans would consider Lelouch a hero, and for others he’s nothing more than an evil villain.

Lelouch is a prince whose mother was brutally murdered in the palace. Witnessing this horrific scene with her own eyes, Lelouch’s sister, Nunnally, is so terrified that she loses her ability to walk and her eyesight. Now Lelouch’s only motive in life is to punish his mother’s murderers and create a better world where his sister can live happily.

3. Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

Watching this anime, you will have deja vu because the theme of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress corresponds a lot to AOAT. Just as the Eldians protect themselves behind walls, a fortress here is the savior of mankind. In AOAT, humans turn into man-eating titans, and here they turn into Kabane, ferocious monsters that eat humans. Another similarity between the two shows is the anime’s start. Just like in AOAT, Kabane smashes the fortress to wipe out humanity. Interestingly, both Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and the first three seasons of AOAT are made by the WIT studio.

The story of this anime revolves around a young boy named Ikoma, who transforms into a human and Kabane hybrid, known as Kabaneri, while testing an anti-Kabane weapon. He is assisted by another Kabaneri and others on his journey to fight the Kabane monsters.

4.Claymore

Claymore has its own cult and is very famous among anime fans. But if you don’t know much about it and you like The attack of the Titansthen you shouldn’t jump Claymore. The gruesome fight scenes, the sad story, the friendship, the plot twists, everything about the anime looks alike AOAT.

Clare is the main protagonist of the series and she appears in a village that has been attacked by Yoma, a flesh-eating demon. Claire is a Claymore, a half-human, half-Yoma being, and she uses her exceptional combat skills to annihilate these evil monsters. With nowhere to go, Raki, a boy rescued by Clare, follows her to help her on the mission to kill the Yoma monsters.

5. Fate/Apocrypha

The striking resemblance between the two shows is the fact that viewers might lose sight of what is right or wrong. Political hatred, lust for more power, struggle between communities, and there are several other factors besides Fate/Apocrypha and The attack of the Titans have in common.

You will love the story that this show follows. An ancient relic known as the Holy Grail can grant any wish. Mages, also known as masters, summon spirits to obtain the Holy Grail, which triggers the Holy Grail War. But to everyone’s surprise, the Holy Grail somehow disappears, which the Yggdmillennia clan claims to possess after many years. This claim starts the war again, and this time, a bigger one.
